Daily Scribble finishes No. 2 in voting for best Web political cartoon of 2004 About.com

"Pithy, witty, funny and on top of the news. What blogs are to political commentary, the Daily Scribble is to the editorial cartoon. I keep coming back for more."  Joshua Micah Marshall, Talking Points Memo.

"Though Charles Pugsley Fincher would do well to find a stage name, his daily scribbles are nothing to scoff at. Plain and simple, on lined yellow scratch paper, yet they speak volumes." Jacob Wheeler, Utne.com.

Scribble runs in the opinion section of Flak Magazine.

Newest Scribble, below. Yesterday's Scribble, Archive: Maybe Bush meant he planned to tango with Putin, not tangle with him.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice had a send-up review of her dominatrix outfit for reviewing the troops in Germany in the Washington Post titled "Condoleezza Rice's Commanding Clothes" by Robin Givhan. She wore a long, black coat over a black skirt hitting just above the knee, that showed leg as she walked and was finished off by black, stiletto heel boots.

I liked her style, but couldn't help having fun with it. After all, Condi misled us about WMD and is far too willing to carry water for George W. Bush. So, here's the satire of the stiletto diplomacy by the dominatrix diplomat. In it I imagined that Bush signals her in a Batman tradition from the White House when he needs her to her to dress like a dominatrix to get tough diplomatically.
