Daily Scribble finishes No. 2 in voting for best Web political cartoon of 2004

"Pithy, witty, funny and on top of the news. What blogs are to political commentary, the Daily Scribble is to the editorial cartoon. I keep coming back for more."  Joshua Micah Marshall, Talking Points Memo.

"Though Charles Pugsley Fincher would do well to find a stage name, his daily scribbles are nothing to scoff at. Plain and simple, on lined yellow scratch paper, yet they speak volumes." Jacob Wheeler,

The Commission reluctantly appointed by Bush to study the failures of intelligence on WMD in Iraq delivers its report today. It blames the CIA, the FBI and the Defense Intelligence Agency for erroneously concluding that Saddam Hussein had WMD in Iraq. As of this writing, George W. Bush is said to be planning to accept the report of the Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the United States Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction as the authoritative conclusion on what went wrong. Good move since advance reports say it blames George Tenet and the aforementioned agencies for the bad intel, and lays no fault on Bush. Was he a mere conduit ... like a garbage disposal is to garbage. However, Bush was the guy in charge of America I seem to remember. See the Washington Post piece on the report.
