"Pithy, witty, funny and on top of the news. What blogs are to political commentary, the Daily Scribble is to the editorial cartoon. I keep coming back for more."  Joshua Micah Marshall, Talking Points Memo.

In Frank Rich's Sunday New York Times column, he wrote that Ralph Reed has "called gambling 'a cancer on the body politic.' " Rich pointed out this ironic statement on Reed's part in discussing his taking $4.2 million in gambling money from lobbyist Jack Abramoff, of Tom DeLay fame. Reed was hired by longtime associate Abramoff to drum up opposition to two Indian tribes quest to open casinos in Texas and Louisiana.

However -- according to a New York Times story today -- it turns out that the $4.2 million came from yet another tribe that was a client of Abramoff's which already had casinos and didn't want competition. Reed who's running for lieutenant governor in Georgia denies knowing that the $4.2 million was gambling money. Excuse me ... $4.2 million and you don't know where it comes from?! Right.
