Daily Scribble finishes No. 2 in voting for best Web political cartoon of 2004

"Pithy, witty, funny and on top of the news. What blogs are to political commentary, the Daily Scribble is to the editorial cartoon. I keep coming back for more."  Joshua Micah Marshall, Talking Points Memo.

"Though Charles Pugsley Fincher would do well to find a stage name, his daily scribbles are nothing to scoff at. Plain and simple, on lined yellow scratch paper, yet they speak volumes." Jacob Wheeler,

Dick Cheney once said in an interview that being thought of as an "evil genius" tucked away in his bunker pulling this and that lever of power wasn't such a bad thing. I actually enjoy that side of Cheney -- cynical, razor wit. But I don't at all like the policy decisions he's brought about as the big dog of the Bush pack.

Over the weekend the Washington Post ran two stories saying that Dick Cheney would vote against Senate filibusters of judicial nominees if given the chance. One was written by Nedra Pickler and the other by Charles Babington and Dan Balz. Babington also has the lead story in the online Post at this moment about Bill Frist vowing to end Senate filibutsters of judicial nominees.
