Daily Scribble finishes No. 2 in voting for best Web political cartoon of 2004 About.com

"Pithy, witty, funny and on top of the news. What blogs are to political commentary, the Daily Scribble is to the editorial cartoon. I keep coming back for more."  Joshua Micah Marshall, Talking Points Memo.

"Though Charles Pugsley Fincher would do well to find a stage name, his daily scribbles are nothing to scoff at. Plain and simple, on lined yellow scratch paper, yet they speak volumes." Jacob Wheeler, Utne.com.

Scribble runs in the opinion section of Flak Magazine.

I couldn't resist previewing this week's Thadeus & Weez with Darth Vader because of Star Wars opening. It'll run officially in some papers on Saturday and I'll post it late Saturday night.

Dick Cheney continues to try to erode the power of Congress and give it to the presidency. He's done an exceptional job so far. Now he's likely to be called on by Bill Frist in his role as president of the Senate to rule on a motion by Frist that filibustering judicial nominees is out of order. Uh ... any question how he'll rule? The Washington Post has a good piece that explains the nuclear option and how it may unfold if there is a filibuster on the nomination of Priscilla Owen.
