"Pithy, witty, funny and on top of the news. What blogs are to political commentary, the Daily Scribble is to the editorial cartoon. I keep coming back for more." Joshua Micah Marshall, Talking Points Memo.
"Though Charles Pugsley Fincher would do well to find a stage name, his daily scribbles are nothing to scoff at. Plain and simple, on lined yellow scratch paper, yet they speak volumes." Jacob Wheeler, Utne.com.
The Scribble has been nominated for best Web cartoon of the year at About.com along with four others (something I didn't know had happened till alerted). If you like the Scribble, please go there and vote for it. Thanks, Charles Fincher.
George W. Bush nominated Mike Leavitt to head Health and Human Services yesterday. Also yesterday, more on Bernie Kerik's problems came out including that the Bush team knew about many of them but the illegal nanny, but thought the other problems -- allegations of mob connections, mistresses and questionable stock options -- wouldn't disqualify him. But, Keriks's illegal nanny did. The thought of Leavitt putting-on White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales who is charged with vetting nominees amused me.
